Carly & Mark
Carly & Mark are a fresh and edgy acoustic folk-pop group from Toronto/Waterloo Ontario. The lead track on their newest album album was named Best Folk Song of 2008 by Toronto Exclusive Magazine. Blending folk, jazz, pop and blues, the band creates a sonic tapestry featuring Carly's striking vocals and Mark's consummate fingerstyle guitar, underscored throughout by lyrics that are at once poignant and light.

Ken Hamm is a Western Canadian blues and roots music artist with an international reputation. Amy Campbell
Amy Campbell brings together classical training and folk sensibilities to create music that reaches into human experience and comes back with stories written from the soul. Corin Raymond

The Undesirables
The Undesirables are a refreshing and infectious songwriting duo who kick out heat like an old woodstove. Guitarist/harmonist Sean Cotton and lyricist/singer Corin Raymond deliver a brand new vibe with roots clout. In performance, The Undesirables are a mesmerizing unit. Jonathan Byrd
On his MySpace site, Jonathan wrote: I'm a seventh generation Carolinian. My granddaddy's granddaddy's granddaddy was born in Caswell County in 1795. Maybe we go back further, I don't know. On Friday the 13th, November 1970, I was born at the Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina, probably the biggest military town in the country. Fort Bragg alone covers 250 square miles, and the used car dealerships and titty bars are like stars in the sky, grains of sand on the beach. Shamus Hannah
Shamus Hannah grew up in many places around Ontario, finally settling in Cobourg , ON. His music is an ecletic mix of folk, country and rock that has evolved from a musical background on his Mom's side. Aengus Finnan
Born in Dublin Ireland, and raised on a farm in rural Ontario, Aengus Finnan is a maverick balladeer whose songs paint dramatic pictures of real people and familiar places. Described as "Disarmingly Artful" (Toronto Star), "A Traveling Archivist" (Saturday Night Magazine), and a writer of "Honest Ballads" (Globe & Mail), his songs have been awarded the New Folk Songwriter's Award at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival (presented by Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary) and the Ontario Council of Folk Festival's "Songs from the Heart" Award. Performance highlights include coast to coast tours, appearances at The Yukon International Storytelling Festival, the Kennedy Centre in Washington D.C., and performances in Japan and Australia. Katherine Wheatley
Katherine grew up in Parry Sound, Ontario. Her passion for songwriting began with a $13 guitar ordered from the Sears Catalogue. Years later, after four seasons working north of Flin Flon, Manitoba, she headed to Africa. It was there that a new found sense of adventure prompted her to write a journal and discover her own inner lyricist. Warren Footz from SEE Magazine in Edmonton wrote "As a listener, it's hard not to sit back, close your eyes and watch the movie play. And man, can this serene red head ever play guitar". Suzie Vinnick
Suzie Vinnick is an award-winning singer, songwriter and musician. She was recently the recipient of 2006 Canadian Maple Blues Awards for Female Vocalist, bassist and shared Songwriter of the Year with Rick Fines for their 2006 release, Nothing Halfway. In 2006 she won 3rd place in the Blues Category of the Unisong International Songwriting Contest for her co-write entitled "The Honey I Want". Suzie has been featured nationally on CBC Radio on Holger Petersen's show Saturday Night Blues, on Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe, and has performed across Canada and the US, and for Canadian Peacekeepers in Bosnia and the Persian Gulf. She performs powerfully as a solo act or with her tasteful side players; with Rick Fines in a duo or a band, and is also a member of the groups Betty & the Bobs, the Marigolds (with Gwen Swick and Caitlin Hanford of Quartette), and the folk-pop trio, Vinnick Sheppard Harte (VSH).
